Father and Daughter Running 100 Km for Cancer Care

A Kirkland Lake father and daughter are lacing up their running shoes this October with a big goal: 100 kilometres each to help fight cancer. As of October 14, they've already covered 53 and 50 kilometres—and they've raised about $14,300 toward their $25,000 target for the Blanche River Health Foundation. That money goes straight to cancer care and prevention in our region. If you'd like to cheer them on or help them reach that goal, their efforts speak for themselves. Running that distance takes real heart—and they're doing it for our community. Keep an eye out for these two around town. They're showing us what determination looks like.

“Thanks to these two for showing us what it means to run toward something that matters.” — Uncle Sam
