Safe Driving Matters: OPP Enforcement Blitz Results

Over Thanksgiving weekend (Oct. 9–12), Kirkland Lake OPP ran an enforcement blitz focused on road safety. The results: officers stopped more than 145 vehicles and laid 110 charges. Among those were two distracted-driving charges and one impaired-driving charge. They also issued 21 warnings. The message is simple—whether it's a long drive home or a quick trip around town, keeping your eyes on the road and your wits about you keeps everyone safer. Fall is busy season on our roads, and these numbers are a good reminder to take that extra care.
