When You're Too Tired to Cook, Give Yourself Permission

Fall gets busy. The days get shorter, the weather turns, and suddenly you're running on fumes trying to keep up with everything — work, family, the hundred small things that pile up this time of year. Here's something Uncle Sam knows after all these years: it's okay to say "not today, kitchen." You don't need to feel guilty about ordering instead of cooking. You don't need to apologize for being tired. Sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself and your people is to let someone else handle dinner. That's not laziness. That's wisdom. So when that moment comes — when you're standing in front of the fridge and you just don't have it in you — remember: there's no shame in that. There's a good grill not far away, and good food waiting. That's what we're here for. Take care of yourself first. Everything else follows.

“We're here so you don't have to be.” — Uncle Sam
